Thanks for the picture.

Couple of questions if you don't mind....

It appears as if the black top on the BedTred is wearing out.. Or is that just the sand/dirt that is on top of it?

Also, in the area between the box and the power cords, just to the left of what looks like a natural seam in the BedTred it looks like there is a crack developing... Again this may just be the sand/dirt...

If you were to clean/sweep your BedTred would you say it would look good as new again?

I know with the BedRug the colour in the fibre goes all the way through so there will never be fading. I wonder with the BedTred if over time the surface will wear down...

Thanks again for the picture and review.

I'm in Florida so that is just the sugar sand that I don't care to clean out. A good sweep or hose down and it'd look good as new. The seam you're talking about is from where the Fred was folded in the shipping box. The vibrations of driving seem to have sifted the sand into that little groove but it's not a crack by any means. I'm pretty sure that if I wasn't impatient, I could have left the pieces in the sun to take shape before installing.

I've chucked and drug 100lb pelican cases onto the bedtred with no lasting scratches. The stuff is good to go

The new bedtreds are as thick as the bedrugs, correct? That seems to be one of the reasons people have chosen the bedrug over the bedtred. The thicker one will protect better from dents. If the size has changed, then this would no longer be an issue.

I am very tempted to get a Bed Tred Ultra, just concerned with how the velcro will hold up to the heat in AZ during the summer months with out using some kind of bed topper. PCS'ing there soon and i am stuck trying to decide on the Bed Tred or a Line-X spray in. Is there anybody that is using the Bed Tred and keeps it exposed to the elements 100% of the time?

Its been a couple months since I installed mine and I love it. Its also a lot easier on the knees when you have to crawl back and get something. I am however going to add some more velcro this summer.

I've got the BedTred Ultra, and so far so good. I use my truck for dirt biking and the mix of the padding and easy to clean surface is great.

The only issue I've had so far is that they don't provide too much velcro for the tailgate piece, and this leaves the two short ends open. I was out riding on a windy day and when sitting around the truck a gust blew into the end of the tailgate and ripped the pad off the velcro. I don't think this would have happened had all sides been completely "sealed" with velcro. That being said, I contacted BedRug about this and they sent me a ton of velco piece, so now my tailgate piece certainly isn't going anywhere.

I ended up going with the BedRug since I was afraid my stuff in the bed would slide around a lot more with the BedTred - that's just me speculating though. Now that I have the BedRug, sometimes if I have an empty cooler or something it'll slide a tad if I make a sharp turn, nothing drastic.

I talked to some forum vendors and they said the BedRug outsells the BedTred by far. BedTred is a new product that only came out a year ago, meanwhile BedRug's been around way longer - decades?

The new bedtred may be a new product, but it's been around for awhile. I think they just made it thicker and added the tailgate hinge. I ordered it because I do carry things that I think would make a mess with the rug and be hard to wash off.

Hopefully it will come in soon.
