Default A/C and cooled seats

First off, have been to dealer with problems I am about to describe, got the "everything is fine" answer.. Here goes, A/C was pumping out what seemed to be hot air, even when on max air. Also, cooled seats were not cooling, could hear fan on all 3 speeds, just nothing going on.

A/C - they called and said it was putting out 42 degree air out of vents, sounds good right. Took it home and it was putting out nice cold air. Today, went out for lunch and pushing out warm air again, even on lo, here is the kicker, passenger side was nice and cold. Got back in after lunch and both sides back to nice cold air. So I am not crazy.

Cooled seats - Looked up under seat and the fan that I can feel air blowing out is blowing out into the cab of truck. It seems that it needs to be rotated 90 degrees so it is pointing up into the seat. Unless I am missing something, it does not seem right. Can someone, if they have a chance, go out and look at theirs. Would appreciate it.

The ticket is still open, and I plan on stopping in the dealer tomorrow after work to sit in another Platinum to see if it is any different. They did not see a problem with the seats, but apparently they did not sit in them... Tried to take a pic of under the seat but there is too much crap under there to get a good one...

Intermittent problems are usually electrical. Take it to the dealer when it's acting up and ask them to check the HVAC module for fault codes.

The cooled seats in the 2018's do in-fact suck air into the seat and blow it out the bottom. So yours is working as Ford intended.

Keep in mind that Ford makes these trucks for use only in spring and fall.. That's why the seats don't cool in the summer and the doors don't unlock/lock in the winter.

Sawdust102 is correct, Ford calls the seats "ventilated" seat, not "cooled" seats because it doesn't actually "cool" the seats, it just sucks air down through the perforated part of the seats and vents out through the bottom.

And yet some owners report that they feel great,, Just not what I'm looking for.. not that my 15 is that great but it's cooling a little with the addition of the seat back TED mods. Just a pain having to remember to turn them on every time I start the truck..

Nicely done lol I was messing around with my buddy on a snowboarding trip and i kept turning the cooled seats on when he slept and he pretty much woke up right away so i was really excited to use them when it got hot here. FFWD to last week, we get some hot weather and i figure its time to treat me and my wife to some cool seats and i was pretty let down when she asked if they were on lol
