Bambi mod

I did this on my 05 Silverado. Bought a 99 cent diode from RadioShack (do they still exist? ) and jumped some fuses under the hood. That was the best 99 cents ever spent. I'd do it again if it's that easy.

Maybe so but if it's a cheap mood that takes 2 minutes to complete why not get all the light you can?

I have done this on my F250's and you did cut ground wire and ground one half. Trouble is what wire is it on the new truck? A diesel Ford forum had instructions for my 250's. Good luck.

Worst hairday ever...
I looked at doing this mod a few weeks ago. Wiring diagrams show hi beam, low beam and fogs are outputs from one of the control modules (can't remember which one). If you want to do it you'll need to do your own relay wiring.

Exactly, you can't even tell they're on with high beams....IMO if you want 4 bulbs burning that you can actually see, invest in some Rigid Industries lights & mount them behind the front grill wired to a switch. That way they're a non inspectable light during state safety inspections. Your vehicle would fail state inspection in my state if your fogs never turned off with your high beams. With lights mounted behind the front grill & not exposed, they're considered non inspectable because they're not externally mounted.
Sounds like a warranty rejection claim waiting to happen.
