bakflip Revolver X2 or X4.
Can anyone comment on the long-term quality of either one of these Tonneau covers? Thanks

I feel qualified to answer this. I have the REV revolver from Ford. This cover is essentially the same as the Backflip. I've had mine for 18 months and already have some cracks in the cover material. I've kept 303 protectant on it since new. I'm currently seeking a warranty replacement through Ford. Unfortunately I would not recommend it due to these reasons.

I have a 1 month old X2. I have 1 line like ^^^ that guy. Mine isnt ripped, but the panels dont move right and I get a crease like he has.
Before I had this, I bought a BakFlip and it leaked like a sieve from the molding between the panels. They took it back, and I bought the X2 instead. Next time I buy a tonneau or bed cover it wont be from Bak. Just my experiences. |

It's a great top and overall works well. Slight leakage at the tailgate but otherwise very good. I know it didn't dry out from not being protected. If I don't get a warranty I'm switching to the Weathertec alloy cover.

From what I could tell, the X4 has a different top material than the X2. Not the faux leather that the Ford one has. I saw an X4 in a store and it seemed pretty sturdy. Does anyone have an X4 and can comment how well it's been holding up? This is the one I'm wanting to get, but if it has the same problem, then I may need to do some more looking.

My Revolver X2 is almost 3 years old. No problems other than the logo thingy starting to peel off..

My Ford branded x2 has been through 1 year and a cold Canadian winter and it’s held up well... I use 303 but recently decided to start using armour all, looks brand new still. |
