Battery Monitoring Syatem - if your battery looses some voltage the monitoring system would look for things to temporarily disable like your electric seats for example until the battery recovers back to a normal level.

So if *** is disabled, truck is running, battery is being charged; doesn't matter if BMS is turned off, right?

I’m not a certified tech and can only share my experience. So far I’ve had zero issues nd even HD it at the dealer for two oil changes nd they didn’t report ny problems. In addition, my monthly Ford health report has indicated n issue either. In fact, the battery box was checked as being excellent. Hope this helps. Again, as I mentioned, I got the the tip from the forum. Don’t remember which thread, but it had do do with A/S/S.

Wish I would have known this before I dropped a Benjamin on the can opener.

I don't know this for sure but my take in it was... the BMS being disabled could POSSIBLY lead to long-term issues and cause premature battery wear. Meaning you'd have to replace them more often. As far as I know, this has not been 100% confirmed nor denied. To me, it was worth catching one of these during a sale and not worrying about it.

I'm with you on this, plus if I decide I want it to work while in heavy traffic, all I have to do is hit a button. To each his own, so choices are there for you to decide what you want.

That was my final thought on it as well. I wasn't thrilled about the cost of the autostop eliminator (not because it was overpriced, but because it was a lot of money to spend just to not be irritated by a button you had to remember to push every time), but when it went on sale, I decided it was worth it to stop the annoyance of the a/s/s function, but also have the option to use it if desired. The workarounds all seem to have some sort of trade off that was just not worth it to me. The worst thing about having the eliminator installed now, is that I reflexively keep checking to make sure I switched the button to the off position as I did for the previous 7 months, lol. Can't win!

And this is where I ended up with my decision. I know everyone places a different value on a dollar. And everyones got an opinion....
Either way YMMV.

But i wanted to give props where they are due.

I emailed Travis - he emailed me straight back - and even though the shipping was expensive (i'm in AU) it was still worth my $$$.

I applied my code, paid and its here in MY HAND 11,000 miles away exactly a week later. Now that is impressive (I didn't pay extra for expedited) Puts SO SO SO many shipping companies and even Australian based ecommerce stores to shame.
Thanks Travis - Excellent service ! @Travis Lambert

Ive opened it and the instructions and everything look fantastic - I will hopefully get time to install this coming weekend.

Thanks,
Simon.

The Autostop Eliminator is the ultimate solution. The best solution. If owners want to use a different solution for less money, that's no problem... but it's great that there is a solution available with no drawbacks. I'm glad I got mine. It works perfectly, I'm happier driving my truck, and I retained my "pride of ownership" knowing I have an elegant solution that is high quality and fully reversible.
