Bug Deflector / Hood Deflectors / 3M Clear
Anyone have some pics of the different options? Any Opinions of what is best. Typically I used the bolt on ones, but I am intrigued by the avs stick on ones, and everyone I hear of that runs the 3m clear loves it, but I am not sure it is available here. Where I am rock chips are a regular occurrence in the spring of the year and are risky year round. I have a xlt sport crew in oxford white coming and having a black bugger on the front might screw the colour balance all up on it.

I bought the ford one. I posted a thread on it somewhere. It looks good to be and it is bolt on. But I've seen some good looking stick on ones.
I guess it's personal preference.

Just purchased that stick on one in chrome...plan on sticking it on top of my 3m film to protect the hood edge as much as possible (film covers entire hood).

Way too much! lol
The entire front end paint protection included:
Full hood
Full front fenders
Front lenses (headlights and foglights)
Front face (around headlights)
Front bumper sides
A pillars
Leading roof edge
Clear lenses on mirrors
Total cost for the 7 year 3m film was $1400
Tint was $350 (all around including sunroof with best film available)

Looks great!
I do plan on keeping it for 10 years but with a black car, it gets so dirty so easily. Not to mention that if I get scratches in the rear I'm going to wonder why the hell I paid so much for it and the one area I don't cover looks bad.
Any experience seeing it with black cars?

I just purchased a AVS Aeroskin. It sticks to the hood. It is not your typical bug defector and used more so to protect the front 3-4" on front of hood. I had this on my 2012 F150 and loved the way it looked. The complete product is on your hood and is not suspended from under the hood.
