I bought a Stubby. Don't have to worry about taking it off for anything.

Some of my favorite stations are over 50 miles away, a stubby is not physically capable of drawing in weak/distant signals.

If the stations were/are closer, then a Stubby is OK, until yer on a trip and trying to hang on to a good station or find a good one.

Odd, I have zero issue. I can and do pick up Baton Rouge stations from Lafayette and that's well over 50 miles away. They are crystal clear for me.

Trips, I always use Sirius.

Yes, if a station is broadcasting with a STRONG signal then yer range (distance) is further.

I don't wanna get into a pissing contest over the length of antennas.

Do a Google search on why antenna length is important, there is a reason.

I stream music almost exclusively but when I wanna listen to FM I'm not gonna be handicapped by a weak signal and no go because my antenna is too short to pull in the goods-->

Have you tried iHeart radio for streaming? There is a sports radio station out of SF that I like to listen to but the reception is pretty bad in my area. It got worse when I switched from my Accord to the F150 so I started using iHeart radio and the sound quality is greatly improved.

I had an Accord with AHA, it was great for picking up stations all over the planet.

My Sync3 2.2 is on the Blink should be fixed in the next few weeks. I'll give iHeart a try-->

I've got a stubby and was picking up WHO in Des Moines IA (AM) at night just east of Grand Island on 80, it was not a strong signal, that did not happen till about Omaha, but could hear what they were saying over the static and was not bad at all.....
