Almost had an accident pulling out of a driveway due to *** lag in restarting. You can keep this crap.

The feature is an embarrassment. I remember having vehicles that DID have a tendency to stall out at times, especially when cold and the choke wasn't set just right.
Now, it's a feature that will save, what, 0.1 gallons of gas per year? Not worth the trouble, especially when it's so quick to shut off. If it had a 5 or 10 second delay, it might be more worthwhile. Stopping to card into the parking garage downtown, or to pay for your McBurger is just a pain in the *****.

If sitting idle wastes gas, how about setting up traffic lights so that cars aren't sitting idle so much?

I have less than 300 miles on my truck and have adapted to A. S. S already. Seems that if you're like me and always check your surroundings and pay attention that you will realise the system is beneficial. Honestly I'm one who likes having some driving involvement, kinda like when you have a manual trans and you have to pay attention a little more... I do have reservations as to the longevity of the starter however.

Per the video it looks like you will save 1-2mpg on our cars depending on driving habits and possibly more. Start/stop starter is also designed for more cycles so no additional pain there. I see no reason not to use it. It is also fairly easy to control via the brake.

Once your battery drains down enough, it will not stop any longer. Our 2015 ran/worked great, but the auto stop/start never engaged. Charged the battery (after a Google search) and it started working again for a couple weeks. Stopped again, but truck starts up fine, and everything else works great. Depends on how much highway driving you do, we use it mostly in town, in heavy traffic (Dallas/Ft Worth area).

This is actually a very good point. I remember on my Jaguar XJ the battery got lower and lower and eventually the start/stop never worked again. I think this goes for around town driving too. If you do not drive long enough between start/stops and at a high enough RPM to adequately charge the battery, it will simply stop working or else not stop for your entire stop duration. I already see my F150 doing this.

I would take a 3-5 second delay. The only thing I don’t like is stopping to back into the garage and it tried to turn off.

This is happening in my area. ( Appleton, WI) The're putting roundabouts / traffic circles in everywhere. Personally, I love them, but a lot of people around here hate them.
