They do make many shades of black in this line of paint. I'm sure you can find one to meet your needs.

Cool made my mind up!

Thanks guys for the thread! I've got a 17 XL STX with all the plain black interior trim pieces... After seeing this thread I'm 100% taking those pieces out and painting them with the duplicolor dark shadow gray. Already ordered the paint and clear coat.

Finally finished my cluster surround in the same spray paint. Looks much better than the original black.

Been looking at threads on painting my steering wheel trim, 4 vent trim pieces and cluster sides. That color looks great! So did you clean, scuff, spray with adhesion promoter, base color and then satin 2K?

That's exactly what I did. 2 coats of adhesion promoter, 3 base coat, 4 clear.

Awesome work! And, in theory, you could just paint the factory pieces as well to have 100% match if you wanted to. I have an XLT Sport, and I know for sure that silver door handle trim also just pops off easily, just have to look at whatever pieces would need to be painted if you wanted to go that route. But man, the paints are so close in match.

How is the interior paint holding up these days? Looking to do the same to my interior. Thanks!
