Default Anyone want to talk about your hood on the 2015/2016/2017 F150s

Does your hood ripple like a sheet of tinfoil in a car wash and the raised portion at the rear seem to blow up when you meet a semi ?

Post your Video's !

This thread isn't about me. What do you think about the hood.

We had a pretty windy day here 2 days ago and I was driving almost head on into it. The hood was definitely shaking, more then I'm used to seeing, that's for sure.

I figured, why worry about it, it's probably supposed to flex, right?

hmm when wet mine blows sheets of water all over the windshield in waves, pretty cool. i wonder if a 6th coat of wax will make it go over the roof

OT - my only moves when i open it.

No clue.. Don't care as long as it stays latched. Are your doors recessed compared to front fenders? Really noticeable on mine. Lol.

Nope I go into a car wash that accepts larger format vehicles all the time. Never seen a ripple effect.

Next time you open your hood, pull down and push back up on it slowly and watch the hood where it attaches to the hinges. The hood flexes A LOT. I'd be willing to bet that if a strong guy put both hands on the hood and pulled down hard and fast, the hood could be kinked. But then again, maybe the struts would give enough to prevent it. Some of you older folks may remember when there were a lot of Chevys being driven around with hoods that were kinked at he hinge point. Probably back in the mid to late 70s I guess.
