Anyone using Motorcraft Full Synthetic Oil?

No fart cans allowed
I have been using Pennzoil Platinum since 2007, when it was shown to hold up extremely well against shearing in the GM 3.6L V6. It's readily available everywhere. I would use Ultra if it was also readily available.

I buy the Ultra Platinum online at Walmart and have it deliverd to my local store. I just looked and they are currently out of my 5w30, but they have 5w20 for $24.97 for a 5 qt. jug.

I run the Motorcraft full synthetic oil & when I get the "works" promo at my local Ford Dealer. I pay the upgrade for the premium & extra quart of oil. I like this because the tires are rotated as well. I shoot for 5000 mile intervals. Usually comes out to around $75 including the tire rotation. I have ESP warranties on all three vehicles & I like the paper trail so to speak.

It appears that the Motorcraft Full Synthetic oil from Rock Auto is an old Rev. (8/16). The Motorcraft Full Synthetic from my Ford dealer is Rev. (2/18): Should I return the oil to Rock Auto, and request the later rev. oil?

I bet the oil you got is fine to use, but if you don't mind spending the cash to send it back then I'd do it.
I'd like to use the Motorcraft Full Synth 5w30 but it's just a pain to get. I use 5w30 Pennzoil Platinum in the truck and the wifes Escape.

You're fine. For your engine API rating SN and SN+ makes no difference. SN+ is a new rating for GDI turbocharged engines to prevent LSPI.

I just noticed that the outside of the case of oil from Rock Auto was stamped the the Ford "B1" oil spec. Does this mean API SN passes this spec?
