Keep us posted. I've read mixed reviews, but if you are doing any kind of custom tune you should familiarize yourself with datalogging and reading afr and timing corrections so that you can be better informed if your tune is maximized or needs dialing back. Poor quality gas is the number one cause of tunes not responding well.

Coming from a guy that's only been on here since May.
He actually speaks the truth. I've ran multiple 5star tunes, but they have nothing on SSI. Shawn is constantly improving on every tune he builds. He's a straight no bs guy, that knows his tunes. Why don't you put your money where your mouth is and try them out and see for yourself!!

I'll keep my warranty intact thank you. Wasn't speaking about the tuner, was I? Just a real interesting first post, don't you think?

To say one tuner is "better" just because your vehicle is "faster" doesn't pass the test in my book.
Some tuners are more conservative so you can run a boosted vehicle, ***** to the wall, all day long for 200,000 miles and others are pushing the envelope much more to get higher horsepower and torque numbers with goals that are much different. Increase the boost more and eventually you'll find the weak point. How soon is the issue.
The safe limit on the vehicles will be different for each tuner with some being more conservative than others. Just because one tuner is less conservative doesn't mean that they are 'better'.
If someone like Livernois who offers ~90hp and ~120lb-ft on a 93 octane Stage 3 tune doesn't do it for you, there are others willing to take your money to offer bigger numbers. It's your money and your truck so do whatever you feel comfortable with.
Also, don't forget that the F-150 isn't a Mustang. This is a heavy truck. The difference between two tuners where one is totally maxing out the boost on a stock turbo vs. the other who is advertising slightly lower numbers doesn't necessarily translate into a 'huge' difference in 1/4 mile times on a truck. One truck will certainly pass the finish line sooner, but how & where the power is applied (down low), controlling traction upon take off and at the 1-2 gear shifts, and the one with the fastest 60' time will probably end up with the lowest time on the 1/4 mile.
I've seen so many high horsepower cars lose drag races to lesser powered vehicles that are just set up better. I've also had quite a few friends with boosted cars AND one with a boosted F-350 that ended up with blown engines due to cranking up the boost too much.
Happy modding!

I've had 5* and SSI tunes in the past with mixed results. I do a lot of towing and I know 5* does a lot of testing with trailers which is why I usually defer to him because I know they're safe.
SSI created a lot of power but Working with him has proven to be less than stellar experience that I know others have shared. I won't go into it here but watch out for the "paypal me and I'll..." Anyways tune made pretty impressive power, throttle was way too sensitive had to ask him to back it off, which I was charged for (not impressed). Truck ran well unloaded for about 15,000 miles then I had overheating issues towing and a turbo go out so I bailed. To be fair this was on a 2014.
On my 2015 I've tried 5* and LET. LET has more power and the one I run most of the time. 5* I'm sure is safer but I've towed 6k lbs with the LET in 106 degree weather and haven't had any issues. So there's my .02
