Anyone running stock sized (275/65/18) Falken AT3W or similar A/T tire?
Just sold my 13 XLT and bought a 17 STX. Considering swapping the OEM STX 20s for OEM Sport gray/machined 18s. I do like my 20s but I’ve always liked that particular 18” wheel and think they would look good with a mild A/T tire, probably the Falken AT3W. Ideal size would be 275/70/18 but I’ve only found one tire in that size that’s a standard load tire. I don’t need or want an LT tire. So looking for pics of stock 18” wheels with 275/65/18 Falken or similar. 4x4 or 2wd as my truck is a 4x4 with the rear blocks removed. Current tires are a street/sport tread but they are 275/60/20 which is about an inch taller than the stock 18” size so I’m worried they might look too small. Thanks in advance.

I traded in my stock oem tires the day I bought the truck. Discount tire gave me $400 for them and I bought the Falken AT3W 275/65/18 standard load. They are great tires. Quiet on the highway, look great, ride is as good as the oem Michilens and they've been great in the snow.

I kept my stock 18" Lariat rims and got some Toyo Open Country AT II's. LT 285/65 R18. I think they ride great, but I came from 25 years of driving Mustang's.
I have a 2 inch level kit on front, stock suspension otherwise.

Thanks for the input so far. My concern for not wanting an LT tire is threefold. For one, I don't need them by any stretch of the imagination. I'll never get anywhere close to hauling or towing enough to need them. For two, the weight difference can be substantial, I suppose depending on the tire you go with. With the Falkens, the SL 275/65/18 wieghs 47-48 pounds and the LT275/70/18 weighs 61 pounds if my memory serves me correctly. That's a lot of unsprung weight. And lastly, probably my biggest concern, is the ride difference. I know this is highly subjective but I like a smooth ride. I already feel like my 17 rides just a tad rougher than my 13 even though both trucks are running the same tire size. Probably because the 13 was running Michelins and the 17 is running Coopers. I like Cooper tires...but they aren't Michelins.
Keep em' coming. I know someone is running the stock sized 18" Falkens.

You may want to check into 265/70R-18 which is about 1/2" taller when compared to 275/65R-18.
The selection in this size is pretty vast with the majority of the options coming in standard load construction (non LT). The WildPeak A/T3W is an option for you as well.
For reference, here's what DTD offers in this size 265/70R-18 Tire Options | Discount Tire Direct
