Anyone riding out the 5.0 oil consumption?

Those who are boasting a hard break-in and no oil consumption......That's a coincidence, nothing more, you got a good one, be happy.
I can also state emphatically that running the engine hard doesn't improve the situation. My truck has hours of WOT or near WOT towing up mountains, and daily WOT usage, it just doesn't make a difference.

In theory, loading the engine should work, in practice, a properly built 5.0 requires no abuse or special treatment to break in just fine.
Well my truck is proof positive, hours of WOT, most of it's life tuned, so it sees cylinder loading that the stock tune doesn't get close to, as tune allows full mechanical capabilities of torque and cylinder pressure, as opposed to the broad torque and cylinder pressure limits of the stock tune. Mine has burnt a quart every 3k miles since the day I picked it up, and has 40k miles now.

My truck uses minimal oil, I’ve added a half quart in ~4k miles. For all I know the PCV sucked some of that when I did my data log pulls, but I wanna make sure I’ve run those rings in good.
ETA- It’s the 15th annual Fords Invade event, car show, fun races, all Fords, Saturday June 8th.

I had a few mid 13 second passes under my belt before 700 miles, then again around 1,000, and zero difference.
i have a Pmas Intake and exhaust that just collects dust because I can’t buy an Oz tune to go with it, yet.

Well from my real world experience, I used a lot of oil at first and now has tapered off at 15,000 miles. I have been running it harder since just before 10,000 miles. The truck has 500 hours on the engine. I am down to about a quart every 5000 miles now. It was at more than a quart before 3000. I am hoping I can get to under a quart between changes every 5000. I will be good with that. Holding almost 9 quarts, 1 quart won't be that big of a deal.

My early build 2018 is at 13,300 mi.
Burns no oil at all. I changed the oil at 1,800 miles and it was down an 1/8th on the stick.
I just did my 4th oil change, and I'm going to increase the interval now. I also switched to Motorcraft 5w30. Engine seems to love it. Zero change in mileage.
I've read numerous times outside of here, where guys are moving up to 5w40 and swear it's the faint knock cure-all.
I'm not ready to do that till I'm better informed.
I didn't make or am recommending these claims of 5w40.
So don't bark at me. I'm only passing on the things I've watched and read.

Our company has 3, mine is a noisy, clattering oil burner, both our later build trucks have been much quieter mechanically, jury's out on their oil consumption.
