Sorry, on the Viper Smart start its just a module and antennae, plug and play if you already have a viper system.

I have the Ford Remote access on installed on my Platinum... Cost is about 400 for parts and install. Fee is the 49.00/year. I'm told they use the AT&T network for service. It's a simple add-on if you already have the remote start feature. When you click start from your smartphone app it will flash and vibrate once it's running and show the countdown timer. If you hit start again, it will add 15 minutes and show 29:46 remaining and so forth. From when you push start till when you receive confirmation it is about 10 seconds. IMO it's way better then the Uconnect from RAM and the Onstar from Chevrolet/GM. I've had both. The 49/year is way cheaper also. Can't see oil life tire pressure etc... I never used this anyhow... Lock, unlock, find, start, extend time, stop. Last but not least... If your alarm goes off it will notify you on your phone.

Thanks! Do you know how much time you can get out of it at one sitting? (45 mins?) or more?

I read that the 2 way viper system best buy had on black friday was able to be programed to start your car with the factory key fob by pushing the lock button 4 times. The installer is supposed to connect a certain wire in order for this to work. I also think it only works on a specific alarm.

I just came from a 2014 sierra that came with 5 years free remote start via on star phone app. I didnt have to pay for on star. Owning a ford now this is the one thing I miss the most. The app worked perfect every time and best part was it was free. I wouldn't mind having to pay $50 a year to be able to do this now, but the hardware fees are about $600-$650 in Canada.
