Technically you can still shift it manually, I really like it because of the comfort during long drives. It's basically an arm rest with a large amount of storage underneath.

I have the console and if I could go back I'd get the console with the column shifter. I'd really like the extra space for stuff on the console with the lid closed. With the lid closed there isn't anywhere to put anything.

No need for such a huge shifter when it's electronic.

I kinda wish I got the console shifter. I have a column shifter with the center console (and its cavernous storage). The column shifter feels....cheap? The only thing I dont like about the truck, but its only a minor gripe.

I have a family of 4 with a 4 year old and 8 year old. I bought a supercab with a center console and no shifter. I absolutely love it with its like a desk to hold my junk between home and work. We also have a 3rd row suv if we have company with us.

I have an XLT with a column shifter and I severely wish I would have gotten a truck with a center console shifter. I asked around in the forum about possibly doing a change over but I could never get a straight answer from anyone.

Dude, a plus and minus button is nothing like a stick shift and a clutch.
