Anyone regret getting the 3.5 Ecoboost and wish they could trade for a 5.0?

The people who slap those one in two out dual exhausts sticking out the back are the bane of my existence, they make trucks sound like they have a sputter and it's awful. That said, I see no reason to mess with the exhaust on the 3.5 EB. When made loud, it has an awful raspy six sound. Personally I love the sound of a nice six cylinder, but this one ain't one of 'em. It sounds fine with the stock exhaust and the slight growl from the intake is satisfactory. lol, make it loud and then it sounds like ***. I'll give it to the 5.0 on sound, but I like the sudden torque surge of turbo spool and the subsequent tire squealing more than the sound
Does make the turbo whistle more though, which I would like. But that garbage sound is not worth it just to hear some more whistle. Think I found one guy who did a true dual setup on the 3.5 EB though with some quiet mufflers and it sounded pretty decent. It don't need to be loud just because it's a truck

Exactly, mufflers to QUIET the ecoboost are where things will get good.
The ecoboost torque is intoxicating... but it’s poison. If the engine had a true life, good track record, then it would be fine. But, it has a really bad track record. Owners want to enjoy the truck and have peace of mind... that is why the 5.0 is the winner.

3" stainless from the Y-pipe back, with good straight-thru mufflers and a resonator.

Ya,I'm not a fan of the BOV mods either, the most you'll gain is the sound of an industrial aircompreesor unloading. Now the turbos are a different thing. On my last 7.3, I had an AiRaid intake, and really didn't notice any turbo sound, except you could hear the BOV more. Where I really gained turbo sounds was with a larger downpipe and a straight piped 4" or 5" exhaust, can't remember what size it was now. Of course the later aaddition of a Wicked Wheel turbo REALLY made a difference, sounded just right in the cab and the tailpipe.
So, you think just the addition of a CAI would make a difference on these gas engines?

Now, a nice pair of stainless catted downpipes would be sweet....true 3" flow to scavenge out of the turbines better...and would result in better sound.
Money I need to be spending on this truck, mods are. haha.

So I bought a brand new 2016 platinum with the 3.5 Ecoboost a month ago and loved it at first, but now wish I had the same truck but with the 5.0. The sound difference is immense. The difference as far as towing or speed is negligible. My truck sounds like a Japanese car when accelerating at highway speeds. Let me know what you all think.
To me a 5.0 is junk. I don't care about noise but I do about towing. The 3.5 is a beast hands down. I towed with the 5.0 and it SUCKS compared to my 3.5.
So my answer is NO.

I guess I need to call my coworker and tell him his 13 F150 ECO with + 190,000 miles has a bad track record.
