ok, so I thought id put my two cents in here. im not much of one to drag race a pick up but I have spent countless hours drag racing cars , bikes etc. when you have cars or trucks with different power plants and all are so close in power and torque, it will basically boil down to the driver. I personally have a 5.0 in my truck and I have played with it a few times around town just to see how she does and had a eco boost pick on me at the stop like one night, not sure what motor he had but I busted his a#* in a heartbeat. not saying this is true for all cases but I plainly out drove him severely.

I've owned both the 5.0 and Eco. Have tunes on both. If you line up against an Eco with a tune, then you better have a blower or it'll leave you. I loved my 5.0 but there's no comparison in acceleration when they're tuned

As somebody who plays a ton of Forza, definitely a flat drag strip up until the end it slopes up. Cool track, wish to visit one day!

You're correct! NHRA wouldn't go there if it didn't meet their specs! I've found Sacramento Raceway is usually faster for me, others also. It's NHRA approved also, but doesn't have the headwinds/humidity like we do.

oK now see you have opened another can of worms here. you've tuned both trucks with now have altered the hp and trq to be very different. when these trucks are stock, they are very close as far as hp goes and also close in torque specs. im not saying the eco isn't faster with the same driver in both truck same condition etc etc. but as far as stock I can put my money on me that id be out front most of the time. not saying necessarily with you. but with most people just because I know how to race etc better than most.

The "I know how to race better" really doesn't mean a thing in this thread. I'm curious how he picked on you though if you were the one that busted his a**??

Also people might want to research drag strip certifications. Don't try to discredit an amazing time because you think the track is downhill or "built on top of a hill". You'd also be surprised that the conditions sucked and the truck probably has a lot more in it with better DA.

Great runs Rancho, I'm looking forward to more kick *** '15 times.
