Default Anyone option for no options?

I am specifically talking about power group. I love rubber floors and vinyl seats for ease of maintenance.

While I do appreciate the convenience of power windows it is just another thing to possibly malfunction. Think about the old school trucks with roll down windows its classic.

I've been thinking about XL for the rubber floors. I can get pretty much the top of the line F150 spec-wise when it comes to the stuff that matters. Chassis, Motor, Drivetrain, and spend the money saved on things like wheels, suspension and engine mods. Gotta say it's tempting.

About a month ago I bought a 2015 XL Scab. Has vinyl floors but still has power windows. Pretty much as base as you can go with the power windows. Just going to get aftermarket leather installed just got quoted $1500-1600 installed front and back. If you go lower than that though you get the all plastic bumpers and just reminds me of a DOT work truck.

I had a 2007 GMC extended cab 4x4 with a v8, auto, hand crank windows. I loved it. That was my strategy exactly. 3 yrs later some POS stole it.

+1 on saving it for wheels and suspension. Looking at the power group a little closer I think I would really miss keyless entry. Decisions decisions.

Had a 2007 GMC regular cab with no added options except the V-8.

It came standard with AC.

The roll up windows and manual locks got old I'd never get a vehicle now unless it had power windows locks and AC.

Those are must haves now.

I've actually got a vinyl floor in my XLT. Black vinyl front and back, covers the carpet I believe. Now that I have it I'll never have another truck without it. Dirt sweeps right out, water evaporates. Was on the lot that way and it didn't bother me in the least.

I bought a 13 STX for the reasons listed above. A great looking truck with all the stuff I wanted and not all the expensive fluff. I have added a a lot of stuff, like nav and b/u camera. I think I'm still money ahead. I would have had to spend $10,000 more to get a trim level that had what I wanted, plus the cost of the options.

I got a RCSB XL 4WD. It's 100A manual locks and crank windows. It has rubber floors. The vinyl seats are actually a no cost choice, I got them. It has no options. I had to special order the truck and it took 4 months to arrive.

It's real easy to clean, I just wipe everything down. I like the truck, I've had it 2 months now and it's been perfect.

It's no big deal to crank down the window, I never lock it anyway, we don't have crime here. Heck I don't even take the keys out.
