Engine can help with 'seat of the pants' but it doesn't eliminate (or even reduce) the negative impact on mechanical advantage - i.e. increased clutch wear in the trans, increased load on the engine from being in boost more, etc.

2017 Raptor has the 10spd and more HP/TQ than any other factory F150 and still comes with 4.10s. Ergo, 4.10s are still baseline for 35s on 09-up until something changes.

Whether or not someone wants to spend the money on gears is a different argument.

How is your truck running right now? are you happy with it or is it slow?

I thought it was slow w stock wheels and tires on but I come from a TT 5series and 700hp cts-v. When I put the 33s on I didn't notice much of a difference. I am happy ATM

I have a 2017 Platinum 5.0. I got a RL 7" lift with 37's. I did change out the gears but power still lags. My next option is for a tune... They dont have any gears better than the 4.10s

Is anyone here running 37s without re gearing?-photo490.jpg

4.56 is the minimum gear for 37s, if they are particularly heavy you should probably have 4.88s.

whipple supercharger.

you're trying to use gearing to make up for a ton of extra unsprung mass + sheer size of 37's, on a motor that doesn't make particularly much low-end grunt.

Develop more low-end power with a positive displacement blower and you'll notice a big difference.
