When I first heard about the fake engine noise, I was really concerned. Since owning my 2.7 EB for a few days now, haven't heard anything annoying or over powering yet. May be much to do about nothing.

Hello again all!
We are glad so many people want information.
To answer the engine enhancement feature question-
There is some conflicting information going on out there.
An article on equipmentworld.com says that a Ford spokesperson said "the feature only comes in the Ford models equipped with the optional Sony sound system."
I have just emailed that same Ford spokesperson with a couple questions, to clarify and verify. As of right now, the JBL System is not compatible with Sony equipped vehicles (update coming soon!)
I can tell you that installing the JBL Concert Edition Sound System will not remove that the feature if a non-Sony truck has it, and I can also say that out of all the installs that have been done, there have been no complaints of the JBL System interfering with the engine sound.
For those unaware, also keep in mind that "The system won't come in all EcoBoosted trucks, just the more expensive ones—from well-spec'd Lariats on up."

Thanks again, and remember, if you want me to contact your local Ford dealer to try and get this system on demo- email me at jnewbern@cartoys.com

Thanks for letting me know that was too much information.
The question was "Will this upgrade eliminate the fake sound of the ecoboost?"
My previous post was the long answer.
The short answer is- No, this upgrade will not eliminate the fake sound of the ecoboost.

- Sony MFT Compatibility (Coming soon, or some thing?)
- Non Sony MFT (Compatible)
- Non Sony MFT (More expensive models?) Won't interfere (Compatible) (So above, compatible)

Ford JBL Issue Update
So after having my car spend all day in the shop and the JBL system completely replaced the issue with the subwoofers sounding awful is still present. The dealership even called the Car Toys guys to come in and look at it. Ultimately what we/they discovered was that the subs sounds much better playing CDs or even the FM radio. The issue is only present when playing compressed audio (MP3s). Their explanation for this is that JBL has to make a part that handles the decompression of the MP3s (sorry don't remember exactly) so it accurately plays the bass signals. This part has not been created by JBL yet so until they make the part for the 2015 fords I am stuck with a 50GB music collection that sounds awful. Just for some perspective all my MP3s are 320Kbps and FLAC is not an option because the 2015 F150 cannot handle the format. My ultimate advice is save your money and buy something that is aftermarket unless you are okay with traveling back to 1997 and carrying around a book full of CDs. This was honestly the biggest waste of money I have ever spent. Lesson learned.
