I don't have a tune yet but I have been trying to decide between 5 Star and Livernois. I had both tuners on my EB but now I have the 5.0. Mainly looking for better shift patterns as I know the added power will be minimal versus the EB.

i think they are both over priced however the 5star tuner looks much nicer than the livernoise, both seem to put out about the same numbers with 93 tune

I have the MPT 87 Performance/Street tune and the 5 star 87 Performance tune for mine. The MPT tranny tune is totally different than the 5 star, it was much more aggressive. The 5 star tune for my 90 mile daily commute is working better for me. Shifts are smooth but quick and I am getting better fuel mileage with it and the power is definitely there when I mash the pedal. I think if all I did was drive in town I would stick with the MPT but for my commute the 5 star is better.

I think iceman was referring to the 2015 f150 5.0 - correct me if i'm wrong - I too am debating between a livernois and 5*. Wish we could get some feedback between the two. Haven't seen a single video with either tune for the new 2015 5.0.

Haha, that's what I get for using my phone on the forum. I didn't notice I was on the 2015 section.

Well anyways, you guys get this all lined out before I trade in my 2013 for a 2016 5.0 so I will know which way to go.

5* is fairly local to me, but I'm waiting to get more mileage on my truck before I get a tune....plus I want to hear some reviews prior.

I've read that the Boss 302 intake and a good tune should result in around a 50whp peak gain.

Im looking into the boss intake as well, it takes care of the big dip in the torque curve and has huge gains on the high end.
