Anyone else seriously impressed with their mileage?

I have a 2019 F150 5.0V8 with 3.55’s in the rear.
With 3 kayaks in the back, ascending 1,350ft over the course of 87 miles, I averaged 22.5mpg on the LOM - or so I thought it lied!
I filled the tank on the way out of town, and when I got to my destination (Old Forge, NY) I only put 3.86 gallons of gas in. Both times I let the handle shut off the pump.
I’m in disbelief and thrilled with this truck. If anyone knows this drive, they know it’s full of hills.
I don’t know whether to blame it on the fact that I waxed it the night before or if it really does just get this good of mileage.

2 sot kayaks upside down on lumber rack, 63 mph down freeway for long distance, 20 miles on secondary roads, running AC, 22.4 mpg hand calculated with a 5.0. Can’t complain one bit. 4runner same situation only got 17 mpg.

So small sample size here... I am averaging about 17 to 17.5 with my '19 5.0L with 3.73 rear end.
That being said I filled up before getting on the highway. After about a 30 or 40 mile trip my average was 22.5. Had the cruise set at 70 in the normal driving mode the whole time. I do not do a whole lot of highway driving and when I do it is typically with my foot to the floor so I thought it was great mileage.

@5LEETR Foot to the floor huh ? Gosh, you have to be going over 100 mph every time you get on the highway.
I am getting more than the original window sticker reads, at 69000 miles. It reads 14 and 22 and I consistently get 16 and 23.

So far I've been happy with the mileage from my 2015 3.5. My 05 5.4 was averaging 13-14 MPG's almost all the time, my 15 is averaging 18.5 under the same driving conditions. I took this picture this weekend of the readout, I know the readout is about .5 mpg better than actual but my old truck on this same route got 14 MPG so Id say yeah, I'm impressed.

Not at all
Whether it's 87 or 93 octane my mileage is terrible. 19.5 highway at 70 mph and 17 city. I run E85 now anyway. Runs much smoother and power delivery is much more impressive. About 14.5 MPG combined. It pretty much equals out in price anyway.

I just made a 9 hour trip Nashville. I drive on average 70 - 80 mph. When I set the cruise I usually set it t 78. I got an average of 21.9 mpg. I have a 17 5.0. On the way back I towed a 7x14 fully loaded the same distance back and got 17.5 I had the cruise set on 70 as well. I was fairly impressed.

I guess I am one of the few that am not "seriously" impressed. I can hyper mile the truck and get mid to high 18s, or I can drive it normal and get high 17s. all city driving. Computer tells me I'm getting 19-20, yeah, OK, its off from anywhere to 1-1.8mpg. '16 screw 2.7 4x4

Still extremely impressed with my 2019 3.5 EB. Screw with max tow (6.5ft box). So far every tank has been at least 100 miles better than my best tank on my 2012 5.0. My 2011 3.5 EB wasn’t close to this (2011 and 2012 were very close on mileage.
Lifetime on the truck. Soon going to get the oil changed.
Lifetime (reset when I drove off the lot)
Currently on my best tank. Will likely need to gas up around 750mile mark

My second tank of 93 premium. About 75 miles country roads at 55 and the rest at 70-75 mph. A very light load of plywood under the tonneau, with tailgate down. I ran in eco for all the highway speed miles, and sport for the several construction zones, and exits,
I haven’t gathered enough data yet, but am starting to be convinced that premium helps with efficiency.
