Every time I see a thread like this it makes me thankful that I opted for a '17 5.0 with the iron sleeved cylinders (and the 6-speed transmission).

3.3 and the six speed. I dont think I have have read about a single issue with that engine on this site. However I know there is a lot less of them on the road.

Ya, the 3.3 is spotless! At least you have piece of mind knowing your truck will run and continue (hopefully) to run well for a long time!

Another pissed off 2018 5.0 owner here. If you haven't already, call Ford cooperate and make a stink. After a few calls letting them know how unhappy I was, they gave me a free extended warranty. So now instead of 3 year 36k, I now have a 5 year, 75k. The being said, I still will never buy another Ford vehicle again.

The powertrain warranty is already 5 years and/or 60,000 miles...so you got yours bumped up to 75,000 miles?
Or you got your bumper to bumper full warranty extended to 5 years and 75,000 miles?

I've seen a few on here post about getting warranties extended but if it's still really only covering what you already have covered...whats the benefit?
The issue at hand is a powertrain issue...involving the engine.

2019 5.0 here - no issues. Just sold my 2015 5.0 - no issues either. Would only buy V8 truck as I hate forced induction to get power.
