Default Anyone With a 2018 5.0 motor that is crying the blues like me?

Just wanting to say my 2018 F 150 with a 5.0 motor mated with the ten speed transmission makes me literally sick to my stomach. My truck rattles like an old washing machine. It does not burn any oil but it sounds like crap. 3100 miles on the truck and there is no relief in site. Dealership says it sounds normal. The ticking is loud enough on acceleration to make it"s way into the cabin.

I'm not happy with mine at all. I've had all the TSBs applied. I'm basically embarrassed to have anyone ride it because of how bad it sounds. The dash is warped, there is a tick at approximately 1400 rpm, and there is the IMCR runner chatter. I'm hopeful it gets fixed but would definitely not buy again.

Lots of posts about this. Have you read the hundreds of them?

Yes I have read hundreds of them. I think it is an awful shame that Ford would do this to their loyal customers. This is my fifth new F 150. I never had a single problem with them at this stage of mileage.

Mine makes weird noises but not enough to bother me that bad. Trans is more annoying than the noisy engine. 25K miles in 6 months and starts and runs just fine every time I turn the key. Uses about 1/2 quart oil between 5k mile oil changes. She holds 9 quarts so that's not a deal breaker. Gonna drive till it falls apart, thats why I got the extended warranty.

My biggest gripe is I thought it would be a good idea to get rid of my 100K mile 2011 5.0 with no issues for something newer to pay off while I was still young and didn't have the other bills i will deal with down the road...

First gen 5.0. Never a sound from engine.

Gen 3. Every sound you can think of!

Basically the same here. My trans was fine but lately has been a little quirky. Engine is quiet and runs great except for Oil usage which is more of an annoyance than anything els. Little less than a Qt in 5K. This is why I wouldn't even consider the oil consumption test. A new engine might open up a new can of worms.
This is the worst quality out of my last 4 new F150's, but if you look around the web, every brand has its problems. Still doesn't make it right.

Yup! Same with mine! Is there a decent motor out there right now? 2.7 or 3.0 diesel? Ive had my fill of the 3.5 eco and I now own a 5.0 rattler too!

Ya but the OP was hoping you wouldn't jump into this one too and start your fanboy dance and tell everyone about your Audi!
Besides...you fanboys have taken over those other threads and they've all gone to crap.

Heads up everyone...the fanboys get their sphincters puckered up when anyone talks negatively about anything Ford.

Although...gregypoo here really dislikes the B&O sound system in the new F150s...even tho he doesn't have one!
