Default Anybody regret trading in their old truck on the new one?

I do. I traded a 2011 king ranch f250 6.7 turbodiesel in on my 2017 f150 fx4 sport xlt 302a. I traded after learning about major problems with exhaust valves taking out engines only on the 2011 MY. Wish I would have just kept it and took my chances. Anybody else regret getting rid of there old truck?

Maybe explain what you regret? Stepping down from a 3/4 ton to a 1/2 xlt?

No regrets from 2006 Ranger 4x4 4.0 v6 5spd. To a 2017 F150 Lariat 502a FX4 3.5 10 spd

chimmike I regret not having a diesel 3/4 ton. All I tow is a 5k boat and very rarely an old jeep cj. Don’t get me wrong the 3.5 eco pulls it great just miss the diesel. Also hard going from a KR to an xlt.

Hard to say.. I went from a '12 FX4 5.0 to a '15 Lariat 502A 3.5 Eco. Something just felt more sturdy on that '12 if that makes sense. Had 110k on it when i sold it, zero problems. I have 45xxx on this one and also trouble free.

No regrets here. My 2014 FX4 was a great truck, but my 2017 is even better.

I traded in a 2015 Cummins 4x4 2500 Tradedman leveled with added Katzkin leather for a 2017 F150 4x4 3.5 eco Lariat (base lariat), now 6” lift. Of coarse I miss the diesel in it’s own, but this 3.5 eco made it not all that hard lol. However the interior of this Lariat over the Tradesman is night & day...options obviously, but simply comfort, F150 is super quiet & the rear seating space is all over that Dodge! I don’t hardly pull anything anyhow, just always liked diesels. love this new truck! If I came from a loaded 250 diesel, might be a little different, prolly come down to what & how often I pulled anything. Actually just for daily driving & the occasional pull on weekends with boat or med Trailor for camping...I’d stay with this F150 if I was choosing between it & a 250 diesel. I’ve had a loaded 250 diesel in the past aswell.

I sorta/kinda do. I had my '12 modded up pretty good, and got comments quite a bit. I do like the monochrome of the new truck, and the interior is a lot nicer. The only comments I get at this time is on the color. Seems people like it. I'm not modding this one as much, but it certainly isn't stock. The mods on the outside only another car guy would notice.

I love my new F150, and the 385 hp 5.0, but my 2007 Ranger and I had a lot of fun adventures together. I do miss it, but no regrets. Mine was also a 4x4 4.0 but automatic (SC XLT). It only has 73,000 miles and I was pleasantly surprised to get $8,400 trade.

I traded a 2010 Ranger Sport and a 2013 Honda Accord Sport on my 2016 XLT Sport.Bit of a trend there.Sometimes I think I should have just sold the Accord and kept the Ranger. But when I take the XLT for a drive I'm glad I did what I did.
