Just got it washed, not a drop inside, had a 1.0 loved it, 2.0 better than 1.0 considering the swapped out the foam for rubber.

This cover is at the top of my list but I am waiting a bit to see if the leak issue becomes widespread or if extang has remedied it.

I love the easy on/off of the cover and also that it doesn't have any permanent rails installed. Just need to make sure my luggage and stuff stays (mostly) dry during trips, driving thru rain, etc.

Default Follow up with Extang

I spoke with Extang again today and they are going to send me a new rear panel to address the leakage at the spring clamps. I hope it solves the issue. I agree that their customer service is responsive.

camFord - in talking to them do you get that this is something that only affects some covers or a total design flaw that will eventually affect all covers? Are they working on a permanent solution from a manufacturing standpoint do you know?

I didn't really get much out of them about that. I doubt they would readily admit design flaw. From what I have researched and read on this forum it ranges from absolutely no leaks to leaks horribly; which could point to quality control. However, there are so many other variables. Mine doesn't leak too bad but bottom line is my gear gets wet. I like the cover overall, wished it was completely waterproof, but am kind of at the point where I realize it's only a cover that is leak resistant. That said, I really hope this solves the leakage as this is my only point of water intrusion. To their credit they do back their product up with customer service.

Great, thanks for the feedback. If just one of these tri-fold covers could be easy to remove and 100% weatherproof they would be millionaires overnight!

Just an update on my cover...I received the new one from Extang, and installed it over this past weekend. We had a good rain storm roll through yesterday and through today, and once again I'm seeing water along all 3 bed walls (right side, left side, and along the cab), as well as a little water seeping in at both hinge points. The hinge issue is concerning, but the majority of the water I'm seeing is running down the bed walls...So I started looking around at how I have the top placed on the rails. I feel like it's in the right spot, both sides of the cover fit in the middle channel of the bed rail, and I have the cover as far forward as I can. But I'm now seeing gaps in the right and left front corners of the cover where the side rails meet the front rail (closest to the cab)...The weather striping doesn't cover where the side rail meets the back bed rail...there's a slight drop there...maybe 1/4". My assumption is this is most certainly contributing to the issue....I'm also seeing water along the inside channel of the side bed rails, so I'm wondering if it's getting in the gap and traveling along the inside channel of the side rails? Anyone else notice this little gap I'm talking about?

I've contacted Extang again, and sent an email with these pic's, again very good customer service thus far, as they want to help me resolve the issue.
