Default Any real reason to buy a 17 over a 16?

I'm buying next week sometime and I can't find any real differences between the 16 and 17 when looking at 2wd 5.0 Platinums and Limiteds. Am I missing something? Houston is full of left over 16's and Ford Credit just dumped interest rates to 0% out to 60 months and 1.9% for 72. 17's are several points higher. Not to mention the 0% is +2000 cash and I should be able to get the selling price down to invoice at max on a 16.
If there's nothing different besides the number I'm just gonna grab a 16.

17's may have some of the TSB's/issues addressed already (like the frozen lock problem, for example).

I live in Houston....frozen anything isn't an issue. lol
Dealers should take care of any open TSB's before delivery anyway.

If you can get a great deal on a 16 go for it. I read somewhere that KC is being shutdown in January for a bit to give dealers a chance to reduce inventory. Before you know it, the refreshed 2018 will be shown in DTW shortly.

Also a member on the "other" forum where the talk is all, mostly EcoBoost, and I agree with this.....the MAIN reason is the dual fuel setup. It really is a big deal, not just because of reduced carbon build up but IF you plan to build serious hp, big hp, the dual fuel system setup is golden!

The 17 5.0 is the same as the 16. The only new/upgraded engine is the 3.5 eco.

Correct... The 3.5Eco gets a 10sp tranny, and auto start/stop. Not a fan of either.

I'm in Houston too. Check mac haik and planet ford. They both still have crazy discounts on 16s.

Unless you want the 10 speed ecoboost there is no reason I can think of to get a 17. I've got a 15 5.0 and it's been great. Bought from planet ford. They tried to throw a bunch of bs charges on the deal but I walked out with a lariat 501a screw for a really good price. Rebates are still high right now so good time to buy. Also heard people who like Joe Myers and tomball ford.

When i did it I just reached out to the internet sales dept of all of the dealers and played them against each other to get the best deal on what I wanted. That way it wasn't personal.

Best of luck!
