Default Any Lariat or Platinum owners happy with their cooled seats?

I'm thinking of ordering a Lariat and am curious if this cooling seat problem is incorrectly working in all trucks or certain trucks out of the thousands made.

There is just no way the seats are going to work good with the poor design Ford used. Anyone claiming their seats are working good is either mistaken or flat out lying.

Well, it's December now, so the cooled seats should be reasonably fine in much of the US for the next several months.
Wait till next July and I'll update you on how mine work...

It is a nice spring and fall truck.. Just not good for summer or winter.

I posted this in another thread about our 2015 Lariat ....

Near as I can tell, ours are working fine. Coolers blew a lot of cool air and the heaters work as advertised. (Sept '15 build date.)

I do notice that the seat heaters take a little longer to heat up vs our '14 Ram, but I chalk that up to the Ford being leather while the Ram was fabric. Naturally, it will take a bit more time to heat up the thicker leather, but within a few minutes the seats in our Lariat are nice and toasty!!

Cheers!!

Ken

When mine worked I liked them. Noticed they shut off after 30minutes. Its 20 degrees right now so I take in to dealer in the spring. Seat heaters are doing their job

I honestly have zero issues with my cooled seats on my Platinum. Both the seat and the seatback cool just fine. If will get cool enough I turn it to low. I'm not sure why I would make up a story about seat cooling. If it didn't work I would say it was a POS.

My Sept.15 build, 3.5 EB Platinum seats work even better than my 2013 3.5 EB Platinum seats for heating and cooling.

haven't really needed to use them but tested them. my butt and back get pretty chilly when I run them....haven't done them more than say 5 minutes as that was chilly enough so cant say if they shut off after 30 as another post states.

I mainly got the lariat for a few things, leather seats being one of them. The cooled seats come with it. living in GA Im looking forward to them in the summer time....definitely worth the extra fro what you get in the Lariat package in my opinion...for what thats worth

I need to have the "fix" done to mine. Bottom works great, back not so much......
