Annoying Rattle in steering?

Hello All,

So last winter and starting now when it gets cold (below 32F/0C or so) something is starting to rattle when going over bumps/rough road in steering wheel itself or perhaps inside steering column. Very light but annoying rattle, no vibrations/cracking in steering though, sounds like plastic on metal or maybe plastic on plastic. Tried changing steering wheel position as mine in all they way out and down and does not help but i hear this same rattle when i move the steering all the way out with a bit of force and it hits that final position. Ill be taking the steering column cover apart today/tomorrow to see what i can find but has anyone seen anything similar or has any ideas? I tried holing down every single plastic piece around steering wheel/column and it seems to be coming from somewhere inside.
Most of other threads here seem to be related to either hot weather or replacing steering column (2015 recall) etc. In my case i think something is just lose, hopefully its not an airbag or ignition cylinder which ill try to press and hold on the way home but pressing the key into ignition didn't help which i assume would be the same.

I swear i saw a post somewhere last year about a similar issue with pictures and it ended up being some kind of white plastic piece but i cant find it anywhere any more for some reason, has anyone seen it/ know what I'm talking about and/or can point me to it?

Thanks

I had a similar rattle from day 1, (actually the only rattle so far). I could eliminate the noise if I held my finger on a specific spot on the wheel controls. The light rattle was caused by a simple plastic wire connector tapping on the plastic wheel housing. However to access the wires, you need to pop the middle portion (air bag) off the steering wheel. Actually very easy to do, but since the air bag was involved I didn't want to fool around with it. Dealer had it fixed in a few minutes and the rattle has never returned.
