2015 lariat screw checking in... in the northeast as well, havent been able to decide if its the "other" rattle from my moonroof, or something with the b-pillar, or both.

I've currently got some sort of grinding or whirring noise from my front end when it's in 4wd, and a slight oil leak, so I'll wait to mention this one to the dealer. Hoping you guys find it first.

I’ve had the same problem on my 15 since new. I feel like it’s a crashing sound. Like every time I hit a bump it sounds like Wiley Coyote just hit the bottom of a cliff. Like others I’ve noticed it waaay more in the cold. My folks live in Akron, where it’s cold and the roads suck. I notice it a lot more when we visit them in the winter. Not to mention the general wind noise becomes damn near unbearable. I swore on the way home from our Christmas visit I was going to take the truck in to the dealer, but life has gotten in the way and the roads here are slightly better, so it hasn’t happened much. I’m glad to hear that the dealer may be able to fix it.

I suspect this may be the the issue. I'm just trying to figure out why I could be hearing this so loudly when the door is shut. I'll try pushing or pulling on the door while driving to see if that solves the problem. Thanks off all the replies.

Mine is going to the dealer next week for the seatbelt recall. I've also asked them to look at the drivers seat (seat cushion feels loose, makes popping noises when I shift my weight around) and the door alignment. I don't have much confidence that they will actually acknowledge/fix those issues, unfortunately. I've had it in for the seat issue once before, along with an issue involving driveline vibration, and they conveniently were "not able to replicate the issue."

I'm pacing myself and trying not to overwhelm them with my list of issues... So at some point in the future I will take the truck back with a trailer to demonstrate the vibration issue. I'll also have them look at the moonroof rattle, as well as the rough/delayed shift from drive to reverse.

They act like I'm crazy when I bring it in for these kinds of things - but good grief, it's a $65k vehicle!

Open your back door - or affected door and with palm of your hand push on the cab weatherstripping moving up and down slowly between each push. Push against it like the door is sealing and pushing against it from the outside. I simulated the noise just now pushing on the weatherstripping sealing to the plastic corner panel with seat belt retractor in it. I pulled forward toward front of truck on weatherstripping and pulled it out like pic below. Pushed it back on and seated it in place....noise gone. Damfino... I’ll know tomorrow.

I was pushing inward on weatherstripping somewhere between center seam of seat and top of seat

Pulled weatherstripping away and put back
Nope. I’m full of bull. Didn’t work. Keep looking

Look up between the cab and bed. Blue arrows mark push pin goes into bed, the side with yellow arrow is cab behind left rear seat.

I am suspicious the strip was binding and popping during cab/bed flex

After I pushed it back into place. I dunno. If that ain’t it I’m still looking

Noticed the same thing on my 2017 Platinum with less than 1000 miles. Seems worse when its cold. I was able to make the noise go away if I pull the door inwards with my hand while driving.
Another poster had suggested checking the door hinge bolts if they are loose. There is a separate thread on it.
Also adjusting the door hinge bolts to have the door come more slightly inwards. I'm talking about the upper and lower bolts on the door side of the hinge since its adjustable, not the body side.
I did that , and the noise seems less now, so you may want to give it a shot, just be careful to torque the bolts correctly since the body is aluminum, don't go crazy.

I did loosen the latch with my TORX ratchet, but it did not seem like it was adjustable, although it would have been nice since it probably would have been another adjusting point.

I noticed this rattle from the B pillar when the temps drop down to the 20's. If I put pressure on the door with my elbow the rattle goes away. Release the pressure and the rattle comes back. Not a big concern for me since it doesn't stay in the 20's or lower very long down here.

Got my truck back from the dealer and they did not even look at the rattle coming from the B pillar area or the seat noise! I am going to pull the off the pillar today and see if I can find anything loose. As others mentioned it sounds like a can or bottle hitting the side of a drink holder. Drive me nuts, my only saving grace is with my stereo upgrade the noise goes away!

Back to the left rear door again. I’ve looked around everywhere in the back seat area. Found my old set of jumper cables under the seat and one of the clamps bumping against a cooler between console and rear seat. Nope...... I had already put tape on the latch...both to see if it stopped “the noise”... not necessarily a rattle, but maybe a cab flex “pop”, but to also indicate if the latch was dragging or riding on the hoop. After many open and close tape is still intact as it looks in the picture. Rattle or pop still there.
I can go to the door from outside 3 out of 5 times and with my hand flat push gently against the door about 4 to 6 inches above door handle and listen for the noise, or get a friend to push on the door while you sit inside and listen. Did it do it? That’s the closest simulation of the noise I can get. Most times when I hear it may be during a right turn into a parking lot involving a little cab flex and a gentle bump. Anybody had similar can’t find in that area.?
