I had AA on a aftermarket headunit in my last car and I will say that AA on Sync3 is actually better than my old Kenwood. I prefer AA over just Bluetooth and Nav because i gotta plug my phone in anyways to charge. If you bump the cable too hard AA disconnects though, but that happend worse in my old car. AA is very connection dependent.

So all is well. Google maps, WAZE, pandora, google music, all worked flawless on my commute. I never did get a text or messenger notification, or make/receive a phone call though. Now for them to let us customize the background...........

I finally got mine as well. Didn't have to update the app which I'd been checking multiple times per day. I just opened it up tonight and the menu option was there.

Haven't tested it yet, since I just now saw that I had the option. I know I didn't have it for my commute home today since I checked right before I left work.

The way I understand it, we won't get that. The plan is to make it all Google Assistant based, with a Drive Mode thing.

We'll see I guess, but all in all, I like the new version.

Finally got it as well. Haven't used anything but the GPS this morning otw to work. Seems to load alittle faster and looks slightly different. Didn't get into the menus or anything yet.. hopefully get to mess with it after work.

I really like what they've done with the media apps. The font change is nice and it's great to finally have time tickers for everything, both podcasts and music. With the change in the bottom bar, I like how we can now manipulate media (skip, pause, play, etc) and never have to leave the nav screen.

And I do want to say that everything is a little bit snappier when navigating the menus within an app.

Has anyone figured out what the new AA apps interface with? Specifically I'm interested in the Podcast app.

I figured that Google likely interfaced it with another of their apps, in this case Google Play Music. I added a few podcasts to Google Play Music as a test but the AA Podcast app does see them. My next test will be to try a different Podcast app like Stitcher.

The time remaining during playback is another feature I thought was a nice touch.
Idk why I like it during a song so much, I just do..

Got mine up to date today. Wasn't working at all yesterday. I really like the new interface, however one issue for me is still persistent....

When connected to AA, when playing tunes frkm usb stick, it still doesn't show song info when skipping tracks. You need to exit out of AA if your wondering what tune you're listening to from a USB drive.
