Default Amp Bedextender qnd Bakflip Revolver X2

Anyone have this combination? Curious about the clearance issues flipping the bed extender with the cover rails.

Thanks

I am considering this same setup. I did see this YouTube video where a Ram owner got a comparability part fix direct from Bak to change the aluminum tabs to smaller versions. I have not reached out to Bak directly about the parts.

I have also seen in a different place (can't recall where) a user placed shims behind the bed extender mounting plates on the sides of the box to narrow the extender slightly so that it would pass the cover tabs when rotating the extender.

Hope that helps.

Question for you - do you like your BedRug and have you had any smell issues with the little bit of water that gets past your cover? I have Revolver X2 too and am interested in the BedRug but am concerned about smells or mildew in the rug and never drying out since the cover is mostly closed all of the time.

I bought the brackets they specified for use with a cover when I ordered, so I will have both if needed. I have not had any issues with water getting in the bed not any smell. I only have the bedrug mat over spray in liner, but I really like it.

"Why not the OEM extender"?...$100 more (I got a great deal on the Amp), and I don't like the way the OEM covers lights and button in stored position. The AMP suits my needs fine.

There is plenty of clearance between the Revolver X2 rails and the Amp bed extender but the bed extender will hit the 2 locking tabs that stick in toward the inside of the bed. I solved this by buying some 1/8" x 1 1/2" aluminum angle from Lowes and making new locking tabs with a slot so that the lock can be flipped up out of the way to clear the bed extender. Works great.
