Amazed that for $50K you don't get automatic climate control on an XLT. You get all kinds of great technical things you really don't use that much, but you don't get the one that you use every day. Ford needs to focus on the basics. Thought about upgrading to the Lariat, but I just couldn't justify the additional money.

Is there anything our forum can do to help Ford understand what their customers really need?

I'd be more amazed if someone actually paid $50K for an XLT.

The whole point is tiered features offered in different packages. Automatic climate control is a want and not a need. Ford offers automatic climate control but you are unwilling to pay for it so it sounds like you are wanting something for nothing.

He must be Canadian. My XLT had a sticker price of 55 and change. I paid 46 plus 13% tax which brings it back up to 52k!

i think he's talking about dual zone climate control. XLT's only have single zone.

I have duel zone climate control in my Acura TL. Never use it, it just clutters the dash with useless buttons. Vanity mirror lights, now that would of been useful on the XLT model.

yep who in the world is paying 50 grand for an XLT just in the process of buying a 2017. just for the heck of it I wondered what I could get a king ranch for and it was about 54k. you should be in the low 40's or less for an XLT. frankly I don't give a rats rip about climate control. I think I actually prefer to manually adjust it. the only thing I like in the lariat rental I drove was it turned down the fan speed when a call came in. not sure if the XLT has the feature or not.
