Am I being unreasonable?
So I've been looking at 2015 f150 lariat that carries a sticker of 57,8xx .. with xplan and some other haggling i have them down to 49,9xx .. The hold up has been on my trade, I have a 2011 fx4 super crew eco 82k miles with everything but navi and sunroof .. like new tires and good brakes, the truck has been garage kept non smoker and is flawless .. its ready to be put on the lot with no reconditioning, I also have all the service records to it .. All the book value sites (kbb, nada and black book) list my truck at 24k-26k trade in value. They are offering me 23k for trade which i don't feel comfortable with. Thanks for any help or recommendations

Doesn't seem unreasonable considering it has 82K miles... that's a lot for a 2011.

I would be shocked if they offered him anywhere near 23K (Carmax). They offered me $7,400 for my 2009 Tahoe with 173K on it. My truck took like 4 or 5 months to arrive so I never told dealer I was trading, I thought I'd have no problem selling it. Wrong, went back to dealer 5 months after already negotiating my truck deal, Vaseline in hand expecting the worst like another $7,000 offer. I got $11,500, 2nd happiest day of my life.

If you don't pay sales tax in your state on the trade in, you are probably getting $25K for the truck. KBB and Edmunds are never real world in my experiences.
The 2014's and order are already dated in their looks since the 15's came out. The trade values for 2010-14 are going to keep going down once 15's are abundant and the new 14's are gone. FWIW.. Good luck.
