You wouldn't know it by the way people come out of the woodwork to blame Ford for supposedly not knowing that two different metals will react. *shrug*

Telling someone to get off the internet because what they say isn't worth the electrons is definitely not deserving of an apology. That poster is an uninformed jack wad that blows their spout at anyone with an opinion other than theirs.
'Cause you totally weren't on the "Ford doesn't understand aluminum" bandwagon from the start, right?

These trucks aren't going to last long since Ford attached all this aluminum with steel bolts and washers, uncoated.
This thread immediately jumped to the conclusion that this was corrosion caused by Ford's supposed design flaw and not something else (like contamination or residue like others suggested). The fact that it turned out to be a form of corrosion doesn't change that that is how this started out.

I don't remember calling you out in particular in my post, either...it was pretty general...so if you feel you're the guilty target, that's on you.

Don't worry, I don't need an apology. You're forgiven. :P

Thanks HC! For correct usage of "you're." Heheheheee... I was thinking about the rusty metal between the bolt and aluminum, or something. And how Yogi got it right... So many times.

Wow, lets all just take a breath!

He just reported what was found and we are all, I think, relieved with the info. No trying to hide things and culprit has been found.

Good info!

Bob
