They are sticking to the NOTE:. bastridges. Other than repainting the door and fender, I don't know what else can be done to repair it and not look like it was repaired. The candy clear is a PITA to match, let alone blend.

I've never had a problem with it. But I can't speak for other painters. Did a how to in the body/paint section. Can't see the pics anymore due to photobucket being dumb now though.

Mine is blue jeans metallic, and I have a few tiny and I mean tiny rock chips from the past winter on the hood. I put a lund hood protector on it. I do have a big scratch on my pass side front door from running over something, through the paint, that I have not touched up yet. Otherwise, I think so far it's been pretty good. Time will tell. Anyone with 2015's chime in?

I seriously considered this color for the same reasons.

I have Blue Flame and this truck has not been washed and loved as my previous vehicles and so far the paint has been pretty tough. I have a scratch on the passenger rear door, not deep but the paint is scuffed, and another of the driver side bed area, again just scuffed. The paint on this truck has been really good and had held up against my girls banging the doors against things when they don't look what they are doing. The only chips is in the bed where the spray in liner was damaged and it when thru to the paint, otherwise its been really good. Right now my truck has 46k on it.

I have about 4-6 rock chips on my hood. My older trucks took years to get that amount. My current truck is just over a year old. Truck goes the same places all my other trucks go. Maybe just bad luck on road. Mine is Magnetic. I also keep a bottle of touch up paint to hide them. I'll keep an eye out.

To put it in perspective. Those pics and that thread was the very first time I did Ruby red. I've done about 20-30 now

I ordered touch up paint for this so will see if I can get it to be at least unnoticeable. There are two spots where the clear came off, one on the left fender, one on the rear drivers side door. The hood has no chips, just the side where the rock salt hit it.

I also have large chipping on my truck. It is a 2017 Oxford white and I have had it for 8 months. Only 9k miles. I also noticed a lot of orange specs all over... Tailgate, bumpers, fenders, doors, etc. Does anyone know if Ford is doing anything about this?
