Airlift Ride Control
Hi guys. I ordered an Airlift Ride Control bag system for the rear of my truck. I ordered because I really dislike having a truck that is front high when i add weight to the bed (i'm currently leveled), and I also have projector headlights so my cutoff changes quite a bit depending on load. I don't haul often, but when I do it's usually a bed full of wood or a quad loaded down, so enough weight to make quite a difference. Here is what was installed. Ordered from SDtrucksprings
1 x 2015-2016 Ford F-150 1/2 Ton Pickup 2WD 4WD - "Ride Control" Air Helper Springs [REAR] (59570)
$225.71
1 x Air Lift Load Controller II - Air Compressor System (Front to Rear Leveling) (25592)
$171.04
Installation was a bit challenging at times by myself just because it was hard to plain well where to put everything (run lines, compressor, wiring, etc.), but once I had that figured out the install was pretty straight forward. I opted for the compressor kit so I could do it all from in the cab and constantly monitor my bag pressure quickly day to day (you're not supposed to let my particular kit go below 5PSI).
First impressions after installing, were .......nothing. I had the bags aired to 5psi then 10psi and noticed no change in handling or ride. I did not notice a change until I got up to 20PSI. The ride got a bit firmer, but i've also been struggling with wandering issues from my front end after installing the leveling kit, and the added PSI in the rear must put a little more weight back towards the front because i could tell the handling changed slightly for the better. I've retested this over and over the past week, and it's not all in my head! The bags did raise my rear another 3/4" which now puts my rear end at 1.5" taller than the front, so If i take my 2" block out and put my stock 1.25" block back in, it should be about perfect, however i'm going to hold off until I get coil overs as those may change the height difference also. I didn't really notice anyone talk about this kit, so I just wanted to throw this up for anyone who might have a question!
Oh, and this kit worked fine with wheel well liners installed as well, you just have to remove them for installation.

I have the same airlift ride control on mine. Don't really notice any difference when unloaded. I pull a boat in the summer and snowmobile trailer in the winter. Love it for towing, makes it feel like there isn't anything back there.

That was at 5PSI. After dropping the rear 2" block and putting the stock 1.25" block back in, it sits with 1/2" of rake or so, but looks perfectly level. I usually run with 15lbs in it now, compensates for fuel load and keeps me level using the eye. Ride seems unchanged between the 2.

I just installed this kit today. 2015 F150 SCREW.
I don't have the automatic pump ... I'll just use a small compressor. Install was very easy (but it was friggin cold here today). Can't wait to tow with this setup ...
