I wonder if their fender vents are functional. Seems like they are, but I'm not sure. Their hood scoops definitely aren't functional.

Thanks, I trust your judgement and I know you have some inside knowledge on it. Thought about a new hood but didn't want to get something the body shop would have to spend hours to make it fit decent.

Its ok, I have some other "custom" ideas in mind.

no, they are not, however, as long as you don't mind a lil cutting, they can be slightly modified.

I like it! Would this overlap on existing Platinum badging?

[quote=white_dc]Ordered the tailgate appliqué from AirDesign last week for another truck and just got it today. Unpacked it and it looks like a quality piece. It is polyurethane and looks like a well molded piece. I'll have more pics on this other build once I get everything pieced together.

Glad to see you pulled the trigger on it dude, after 2 weeks with the tailgate spoiler thing I can tell you that the tape for sure holds it tight when it's properly applied.

Waiting on the final pictures

I'll post a few pics of the applique once I get it sprayed and on the truck. This is actually going on another truck I'm working on with my brother. He got a smokin deal on a used 2016 Screw that he bought for his wife.

I am really impressed with the quality of the polyurethane and how well it is molded and cut. I bought a $400 Stillen front lip for my wife's Infiniti last year and it is a POS compared to this piece.

Probably wouldnt work. The Platinum tailgate is actually recessed and this is designed to fit on the regular flat tailgates.
