Default Airbag symbol

Can't find this symbol anywhere in the owner's manual...is something wrong?

It shows if passenger seat is occupied or not.

If passenger seat is occupied it should show air bag is on if seat is empty or passenger is very small it will show air bag is off. This prevent air bag deployment if seat is not occupied.

Wondering about the symbol...person in seat and circle with slash...not the word on or off.

Maybe it has nothing to do with airbags...can't find it in manual or on the Internet.

Look carefully at the symbol. It is a picture of a child in a carseat facing rear with a line through it.

Here are the words you don't see:

Don't put a child in the front seat, in a child seat facing rear, because when the airbag deploys it will snap their neck and kill them.

From the manual: WARNING: Front seat mounted rear-facing child or infant seats should NEVER be placed in front of an active passenger airbag.
