Since then I have been running seperate lines to each bag and couldnt be happier. Just my 2 cents!
Uhhh!

Motorcraft......like many say, unless you want to wash and reuse, aftermarket would be the choice there. For the cost, I just threw away the old and get a new one from the dealer each time the filter needs changing.

I'm just gonna stick with the paper one.

My original question still stands; after replacing a really bad dirty one, will I notice any difference in MPG, or HP?

Engine: Motorcraft
Cabin: Spearhead Breathe Easy (BE-150). Much Higher quality filter than the Motorcraft Cabin filter.

Yes it will. Restriction(s) on air flow Absolutely effect HP and Torque-done 10,000s of times on dynos. "A really dirty one" can mean a lot of thing, and different things to different people, for me "really dirty" means restriction of air flow, now will You notice it? There is no way I or anyone else can say You will or will not notice it, unless they know you, know how you drive, where you drive etc.. I will say, restricted air flow does effect HP and torque, ask any real hot rod shop (one with a dyno), they'll almost laugh at the question, how much it will effect is open to how dirty-how much restriction there is. Best practice, run a clean filter, change early rather than late, they're cheap and they're cheap insurance.

Purolator, Wix, NAPA, Mobil 1, Performanax, Quaker State, Pennzoil, Car Quest, Shell, Rotella et al, are all mfg'd by the same parent company-go figure. While they are made in Many countries, I like the ones made in the USA.
