Aftermarket Performance Shocks, Coil-on or Not

I guess I'm gonna be the dissenting opinion here.
From 2002 to 2010 I owned several 2500 HD's, and they all had lifts and 5100s.
I found them to be no better than stock, and in a lot of situations I found them to actually be more harsh-like they blow through their stroke too easy-off-road
They were the quickest/easiest shock to get for lifted applications on those trucks if you didn't wanna spend $$$, and I think they might have had some deal with RCD at the time where you could get 'em with the lift as well, so I just kept getting 'em.
Rancho used my F150 for R&D, so I got a lift/shocks free of charge from 'em this time around, otherwise I would've prolly put Fox 2.0's on the rear and 2.5 CO's on the front.
If I was in your place, I'd prolly put 2.0's on the rear, and either leave the front alone, or install 2.0 CO's

^not sure your experience is applicable. The stock shocks on your other trucks may have been (and probably were) far better than the stock F150 shocks and better than some aftermarket equipment. All you need to do to know that the Bils 5100 or 4600 are superior than the OEM F150 shocks is hold them in your hands.
You'd be better off installing the cardboard box that the Bilsteins come in than leaving your stock F150 stuff in there.

For every day driving with no off-road use, IMO the stock struts are fine on the F150.
As I said, I personally found 5100's to be, well, junk.
About as weak as aftermarket shocks get, and with their propensity to seemingly blow through their stroke with a hard sneeze, a bad choice on the front (at least) of any truck with at least a far amount of weight
For a little more money, you get WAY better valving with Fox 2.0's
