After 10 years of dreaming and drooling... I finally ordered my truck!!
So today it finally happened. I placed an order for my very first F150. I have been wanting an F150 for over 10 years now. I got married right out of high school at age 19 and we had our first daughter when I was 20, so I wasn't really "financially responsible" shall we say?? I learned through trial and MUCH error. I have now been married for 16 years, our first born is in high school herself now, and after much learning and a LOT of hard work I got approved for the truck of my dreams and placed the order today. I literally put almost everything available on my truck and was actually surprised when they approved me for it. I told the salesman I wanted to go big, so I went with a 2018(of course) Platinum with 701A package, 5.0 V8, 3.73 rear axle, Blue Metallic, Dark Marsala interior, tow package, off road package, tow mirrors, twin panel moonroof, wheel well liners, spray in bedliner, bed extender, and extended range fuel tank.... I think that about does it! lol. Now all I have to do is wait for the VIN so I can begin tracking my excruciatingly long wait for delivery... but after waiting 10 years and visiting this forum several times a day for the past few years and getting jealous, maybe the wait won't be SO bad!

Congrats OP. I had been dro0ling over F150s for years and been wanting one for the last five years. When I got word of the aluminum body and bed, I really wanted one. I owned a 1965 F100 years ago in the 1990s; that was a great truck too. I drove a friend's '78 F150 for awhile and enjoyed that one. I have driven nearly every model year F550 for work the last 15 years and had become spoiled by the crew cab. Ford just makes superb trucks.
I am now the proud owner of a Certified Pre Owned 2016 XLT 5.0 Coyote 4 X 2 and for the money I saved, I couldnt be happier with my purchase. This thing is a creampuff. Hope yours makes you feel the same. I know you're excited!

I certainly will... I told the salesman I didn't want ANY prep work done, no stickers or plastic removed... just back it off the transport, fill it with gas, and hand it over..lol. I will do all the cleaning and detailing myself.
