FWIW

I'm a tall joker and this is absolutely, hands down, the most comfortable seat in any vehicle I've ever driven.

Dang near perfect.

One caveat, my brim does touch the headrest.

Looking at your pic, tilt the seat back 1 or 2 more adjustments.

I'm 6'-2". The headrest bothers me too. I recline the back of the seat further than I'd like, and the headrest is bearable, but not comfortable. Every time I hit a bump the headrest bangs my head.
About 1/2 the new cars I drive have this issue.... I've thought of removing the headrests and having the bars bent a small amount, but haven't checked out the feasibility of that move.

Don't know how anyone could tolerate the head rest on any of the more forward positions... I know I couldn't.

But you have the XL.. This is a case of the economy seats being nicer than the first class seats.. How would you feel if you get on the airplane and see cheap seats in first class and nice confortable seats in economy and you as a economy flier you would be very pleased.. But what if you had paid for first class like a lot of us and have to sit on those crappie seats eating peanuts while we can smell the steak they are serving in economy class.

Who wouldda thunk it?

I've never tried the upper class F150s.

I have the standard seats (40-20-40) but with the dark grey cloth upgrade.

They are a masterpiece.

I find this very interesting.

My company truck is a standard Silverado....terrible seats.

Reversing the headrest and adding a ziptie to keep it from sliding down is still the best solution I found so far.

I did want to add that I sat in a Platinum today that did not have a moonroof and found that there were 2 inches more headroom than the Platinums or Limiteds with the moonroof. 2 full inches!!!

Now that I've let my Limited go (ordered it, didn't fit, didn't buy it), I'm getting ready to order a Platinum w/o moonroof. Too bad you can't order a Limited w/o the moonroof.

Just to climb on my soapbox for a moment. They really aren't "headrests", but head restraints. They are designed to reduce the movement of your head in an accident. Modifying them or removing them really isn't a good thing, from a safety point of view. Off soapbox.

Dumb question, but I assume the headrest is adjusted back as far as it will go?
I have a 2013 Platinum and the seats are thick and comfortable, headrest is not annoying or bumping into my head, and the cooling and heated seats actually have air flow, no complaints here.

I have driven in vehicles where the headrest was annoying and inclining the seat back, was all I could do to help. And have also test driven vehicles with uncomfortable seats, would not buy though.

LB - well said.

25% of the issues with Fords new trucks are concerning the Seats! Go figure! Add the Doors and could be as high as 40%!Maybe more, maybe less.

But with Ford putting the F-150 cabs on the new Raptors and the now new 2017 Super Duty's, lots more door, door seal and seats issues forthcoming!

Stay tuned!

Seems to me that turning them around defeats their purpose as wouldn't they tilt backwards in a rearend collision?
