(Advice) from Ford ripping my truck apart
#11
It sucks and all know it will not go back together like it was. some pieces just don't fit the same after torn
apart whether its the truck or something around the house. There will be scratches where some force or
parts hitting, or just the tech trying to work. that was a major rip apart. You can be sure rattles
will be noted

That sucks. If it makes you feel any better, personally I think there is a decent chance it will get put back together correctly. My first car out of high school was from the early 90s, and if you even looked at the inside plastic trim pieces the wrong way they would scratch. Not so with your 15+ f150. I really manhandled some of those panels when getting new speakers in recently, I was absolutely shocked there was not a scratch or gouge somewhere. Everything went back together perfectly. Deep breath and fingers crossed for you, hopefully all okay =)

I just wonder why they didn’t think about checking the fuse box and cables under the hood the lead into the center. Before ripping apart everything. The cable that got chewed into just sits and is reachable when you look down. So easy to see.

Be glad you found a dealer that was willing to be this thorough. Electrical problems are the hardest to diagnose and fix.

If they had to replace the ac evaporator, it would look about the same. They are used to it, hopefully you got a good tech that has been there done that, and kept things (fasteners!) organized.
