A 2017 mirror? They have different part #'s with vastly different prices which was the basis of the question in my first post.
2015/2016
Part #:Fu5z-17700-r
Price:$216

2017
Part #: Hu5z-17700-h
Price: $901

A google search of the 2017 part number will also confirm the big difference in price across the web which was the basis for my questions regarding the differences.
Am i missing something?

I wanted to share my experience with activating LKA on my truck.
I installed the mirror, ran the wire from the console to the rear pillar harness, harvesting two pins from the old console harness to make the connections.
Started programming in Forscan. However, this is where it got interesting. Once I made the first entry in the IPMA section, I got an error message on the IPC saying "Front camera malfunction". I ignored it because programming wasn't complete and the calibration routine hadn't been done yet.
Drive to a local highway (with painted lines for the calibration effort) and attempt to start the procedure in Forscan. Forscan locked up. I ended up having to kill it, re-establish the Bluetooth connection and tried to run the calibration again. Forscan locked up again. Repeat earlier procedure but went into DTCs first.
There were several DTCs, PSCM, IPMA, etc. I did a reset and they all cleared, except one for the IPMA. When I looked at the DTC it stated that the camera had not been calibrated. Hmmm, progress I think.
I went to the calibration page, clicked the start button and a screen popped up on the laptop telling me all sorts of stuff about the procedure. I clicked OK and started driving.
Note that NOTHING was displayed on the IPC and the Forscan app stated calibration was initiated. About 10 seconds later it said that calibration was successful. In the notes it displayed when I first clicked calibrate it said you might have to drive for 10 minutes or so. I decided to keep driving to see if Forscan displayed anything else.
About five minutes into my drive (55 MPH down a two lane highway) the LKA infographic pops up on my IPC. It turns green and then begins alerting me when I travel too close to either line. There were no further messages on the IPC or in Forscan.
I pulled over and went through the menus on the IPC and changed the LKS setting to Alert & Aid. I have to say I'm impressed with how it does on a two lane highway - it alerts and then corrects before either tire hits the lines on the road. It turns yellow when I get close to the line and turns red if I cross the line.
Also - I had installed the mirror the afternoon before I ran the wire and programmed everything. I drove the truck that night and I noticed my auto high-beams did not work. Once the install was complete and the calibration was done the auto high-beams worked as expected.

2015 - 502a
So, I have the APA installed and functioning (thanks to all who contributed!!), and have the LKA mirror installed. Way too cold to play around with the wiring at the moment, so .....
First ... my auto high beams stopped working. I think I read that the calibration needed to be complete before they work again. Can anyone verify that?
Second ... If I complete the Forscan changes to enable the LKA, but do not have the wiring there for the switch .... will it just be stuck to "ON"?
Thirdly ... Can I calibrate the LKA without the switch?
Thanks in advance.

1) Probably, I never tested it but you need to calibrate the camera anyhow... so...
2&3) Nope. You have to signal the module to on. You can use a switch like I did or wire up the factory option.

Yes you can calibrate it without the switch. Like I said earlier, I calibrated mine without ever touching the switch.

Success .. Partialy??
Replaced the mirror with a new LKA mirror.
Found time and a warm garage to run the wire from C314 to C3133.
I then made the following changes
PSCM 730-02-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx
IPMA 706-01-01 1F8x xxxx xxxx
IPC 720-02-01 xxEx xxxx xxxx
Immediately got the camera malfunction up in the cluster.
Ran the LKA calibration (several times - some with the information screen still on Forscan, and some with OK selected and the information screen gone on Forscan). Every time, I think with the same result .... each time the LKA came up on the Cluster .... the gray turned to green arrows and lines. BUT ... in all cases, when I deliberately crossed the lines, nothing happened other than the green turned to gray (no Alert, no forced steering wheel movement). The Cluster has the LKA option listed now, and I changed it over every passible way, but no luck. I retarted the truck, but again, no luck.
The last attempt, I cleared DTC's, re-calibrated, and had the same outcome. I thought it was something wrong with the steering, so I used the APA, and the streeing worked fine.
Lastly, it does not seem to be keeping its memory. That is, it does not remember the last setting used. It is always "off" when I restart the truck.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks again ....
