Thanks!
I have a couple more question on the xlt conversion?

Did you use the shift panel GL3Z-1504567-EA and use your storage bin in place of the floor shifter? Did the console harness and added wire in c3133 to c314 wiring going to the mirror also work with the xlt wiring?

Thanks again,

Mines a little different I have the bench seat up front which has the fold up console so I dropped the switch into that console. My truck is also been modified with the platinum body harness and the headliner harness from other mods. Which made it easier for my upgrade. The headliner harness is only around $45 I just found a platinum that had the same set up as mine. Body harness well thats more expensive and not justifiable for just one Mod because have done heated/cooled, massage ,memory seat and rear heated seats and Sony amp wofer setup.

Finished up the LKA addition today. Earlier I installed the console harness with the button LKA and APA button. In my 502a I harvested a pin from the old console harness and put it into pin 4 position of the c314 connector and ran 26 ga wire to pin 2 of the console harness c3133. The wire in between was run in parallel to the body wiring harness and I taped it off about every 4-6 inches from c314 to the front seats where I fished it under the carpet/seats using a very high tech method with a proprietary tool I fabricated that I like to call a "straightened clothes hanger".

Special thanks to all in this thread. Especially great white, livnitup, strkpkup, white15lariat,etc. for all pics, pin out diagrams, programming instructions, etc....

Connector c314 with pin 4 unpopulated. that is the top row, 4th from the left that needs a pin.

View of location for c314 from passenger seat looking back.

Green wire is being run from c314 to c3133. White thing is my straightened clothes hanger to fish the wire under the carpet.

Clothes hanger coming out from carpet under the heat vent under the seat

Fishing the wire from vent to center console and holding the pin 2 wire added to c314 when I added the center console harness

Pic of LKA working on instrument cluster

Photo of c314 female end with pin 2 empty

C314 male pin 4 needs to be populated with a pin to connect

Pin out of c3133 female side, pin 2 needs to be popukated

Ok, so now that I've had a chance to sit down and think --

1) Buy the mirror. The link is in this thread. $194 shipped to me brand new.

2) Tap pin 7 and pin 9 on the mirror side harness, and wire them up to a momentary switch. I linked to the switch I used earlier in this thread.

3) Install new mirror with switch wherever you want to put it. I put it in the mirror trim piece (see picture below)

4) Get out Forscan, and program up the following:
PSCM 730-02-01 xxxx x1xx xxxx
IPC 720-02-01 xxEx xxxx xxxx
IPMA:

706-01-01 1F88-DA50-5232
706-01-02 2800-0038
706-02-01 FFFF-FFFF-FF0B
706-02-02 FFC0-CCC0-005C
706-03-01 4490-4000-25
706-04-01 8A40-0080-5C
706-05-01 0000-0000-13

Then run the calibration which is in the release version of Forscan (no test/beta needed).

Glad I checked in on this thread to see the price drop on the mirror. I'll be joining you on this one, with the switch location where you have it.

I don't feel like opening up the A-pillar and the center console for a ground switch.

Can anyone confirm that the 2015/16 mirror will work with a 2017 502a? Also, I bought a mirror with LKA and AB that came off a 2017 platinum with 19k on eBay for $60 but now I am worried the camera is not on it. I was under the impression the camera was in the actual mirror housing and the lens that can be seen from the front was just a fish bowl lens and the actual camera went into it via the back. I attached a photo of the mirror so someone can hopefully clear this up for me.

Based on memory, that looks like what I installed. As long as it’s the right part number it doesn’t look any different than my replacement mirrror with LKA.

Pretty sure you are ok!

Good luck with the install, and let us know how it all works out.

Same here. That mirror looks right, and should have the LKA/AHB marking on it.

OK I feel better now but i'm still a bit apprehensive since the 2017 mirrors are $800+. It still seems too good to be true for a functional mirror. I will post an update when it comes in and can confirm the LKA/AHB stamp.

On a side note, has anyone actually figured out what the difference is between the 2015/16 mirror and the 2017? The only info on the subject I have found is in this thread about the 2017 defaulting to on. I'm guessing a camera upgrade?
