I have no intention of adding APA -- I just want LKA. I will put a button up at the mirror, make it nice looking, and call it done. It will stay on all the time as it has in other/previous cars.

If for some reason it gets annoying, off is a quick nearly hidden button press away.

My mirror should ship tomorrow. Ordered from a dealer in FL that was dealing with Irma. Can't wait... my button showed up today.

Yeah, I had already bought the switch and the harness so I figured why not go ahead and install it and maybe do APA later.

My forearms are shredded. It is amazing how sharp plastic can be.

Here's the comparo with the differences between Livnitup's AB and the config that stork says works in 2 different mirrors:

Attachment 533221
I'll see what I can dig up on 706-02-02 xxxx x*xx xxxx & 706-04-01 **xx xxxx xx

Edit: let me double-check the settings above, the side of road doesn't seem correct for my truck

Edit #2: hmm, my other software definitely says "8" is "Vehicle is on the left side of the road, oncoming traffic passes to the right." I have to believe Ford wouldn't have set this wrong from the factory in mine and can only conclude my other software is wrong for this bit so I wouldn't take the mapping above with much credence.

706-02-02 xxxx x*xx xxxx - C=DTC$500176 General Failure Alignment Suppressed
706-02-02 xxxx x*xx xxxx - F=DTC$500176 General Failure Alignment Fully Enabled

706-04-01 **xx xxxx - 8A=LA Customer Enable LDW and LDW Haptic Intensity Medium
706-04-01 **xx xxxx - 9B=LA Customer Enable LDW/LKA and LDW Haptic Intensity High
** These values are unimportant because they change based on what you set in the IPC menu choices **

I should also note that my junkyard mirror came from Canada. I didn't think about that until you started posting those values. I don't think it would matter, but I thought you should know.

So, the other differences are user-config differences, this is the only question mark now -- "4" or "8" in that position? Seems if Ford put an "8" in a factory-enabled truck, probably should use 8 huh?

So I was curious about this and started pulling VIN as-builts and it seems 2015-2016's have an 8 but yet I saw some 2017 Super Duties with a 0 and a '17 Platinum with an 8 so maybe it's a firmware difference or that bit doesn't really represent "side of road"???

Interestingly enough, my AHB-equipped 2015 is also set to X8XX in 706-02-01, so whatever it does, I think 8 is the right value. Clearly, that position is all about AHB config.

Thanks again!! Man I can't wait to get my mirror.
