Default Adding heated mirrors to the 101A package

Hey everyone,

I have a 2020 STX with the 101A package and recently installed some factory mirrors with turn signals and heat option. The turn signals work fine, but the heat lights don't light up when I hit the rear defrost button. Does this option need to be enabled in forscan? I'm not sure if I should complain that they are not functioning or if I am missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

What heat lights? My 2019 replacement tow mirrors main mirror heat up and defrost with no on mirror indicator. Have you tried them when frosted over?

If you are referring to the lights in the mirror, those are called BLIS® (Blind Spot Information System), and lights up when a vehicle is next to you. I doubt your 101a has this feature.

The little heat things on the mirror do not light up, the only way you know the heaters are on is to touch the mirrors after the heater has been on for a bit. Unless Ford has changed things, Forscan is not needed for the mirror heaters

Hey everyone,

Thanks for the answers back. I did run the truck with the rear defrosters on and the mirror was getting warm. Looks like it's functioning properly. Weird that the symbols don't light up though and the only way to know they are working is to touch them.

When the snow starts melting, I know they are working.

Back window doesn't show that it is working either other than melting the snow.
