Added a Factory Look Front Camera
I have been in this forum for about 5 months or so and gotten a lot out of it and wanna thank everyone.
I used to have 360 camera system in my 2016 Nissan Murano platinum,I hated the CVT in it so it had to go , I never though I was that attached to the cameras but since getting my truck I missed the front camera.
So I have added a Factory looking front camera to my 2017 Lariat, here’s the front of my truck before
L
I then got a doner replacement grill off line that was just like the one I had except it had the factory cutouts for a factory OEM camera
I then purchased a aftermarket camera from the Camera Source, they have one that will mount in the grill using the factory mounting points, although it’s not cheap it does come with a 3 year warranty , so I went for it...
Will continue ...

next i attached the camera washer jet to housing as the camera source camera had a cut out for it, might as well make the front camera washer part function also
install washer hose tubing on the back of the hosing with the jet

next install grill back on the truck
then i ran the camera cable into the cab and behind the sync system
\
i used an interface i bought off amazon and hooked the camera up to the t harness that came with the interface, you can use any brand interface because its hidden in the dash
this is the one i used
next i hooked up the camera washer hose right in line with the windsheild washer hose
then i ran the camera cable into the cab and behind the sync system

and finally i tested out the system once finished, the rear and new front camera as well as the camera washer and all functions the camera has a super wide field of view
next ill be adding side cameras under the mirrors.....
the finished job appears totally factory from the outside of the truck
this is how this module that I installed works,
the rear camera functions just like it always did, once you go from reverse to neutral or drive the front cam activates for 30 seconds or until trucks moving over 9 miles an hour,
any other time if me if you want the front camera on, you simply pressing hold the power button for audio on for more than two seconds and the cameras are activated , you press the button again to go tru what cameras are installed, to turn the mode off, simply press and hold for more than two seconds the power button again and it goes back to previous screen that was on your sync.
once I install the two side cams in mirrors they will rotate just like the above cams do, also , when you turn on your blinker left or right the screen will go automatically to that camera..
It was pretty much plug and play , only two wires had to be connected and that was the + and - wires for camera power and those get wired to the plug and play t harness , no wires in truck were cut or spliced it’s totally plug and play as I said.
1. The multi camera interface from Amazon , comes with module, T harness and camera plugs and directions
2. Camera was from camera source , it comes complete with all wire and wire loom
https://camera-source.com/2015-f150-...a-display.html
3. Washer jet for camera washer
https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts...Y2LWdhcw%3D%3D
4. The grill from eBay or amazon, really depends on preference as to style , color or chrome , it just has to have OEM camera cut out , prices vary for new and used ... i reused my ford emblem...
5. Also need 6 feet of 5/32” tubeing and a Y check valve and sone zip ties ...

That looks amazing and you're making it look really simple. Can you be more specific on what parts you used with part numbers? How difficult was it to hook up to the back of the display?
